Baisakhi is one of the major festivals of Sikhs and they celebrate it with full energy and cheer in the Punjab. Mainly for the large farming community, which it marks as a new year and also it symbolizes the marks of harvest of Rabi crops and they all celebrate this day by performing Bhangra and Gidda dance.
