The ingredients, which are used to prepare it, you are very familiar with them as they are used in mother dishes too. It’s not only easy to cook, but also takes very less time in it, hence you can say that a better option, when the unexpected guests come to your home. Below is the recipe of this lip smacking dish in a very simple way. Therefore, try it at home as a Sunday Brunch and make your day awesome.

Step by Step procedure to prepare Mushroom Chili Fry:

Serves: 3 to 4

Ingredients

  • 200 gm Mushroom (chopped)
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Spring Onions (for garnishing)

Ingredients for the Batter

  • 1 cup of Maida
  • ½ cup of Corn Flour
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder (kali mirch)
  • Salt according to taste
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • Water (as required)

Ingredients for the Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic (chopped)
  • 2 Green Chili (chopped)
  • 1 Dry Red Chili (small pieces)
  • 2 tbsp Soya Sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar (sirka)
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • Salt According to taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ajinomoto (type of salt)
  • A few tbsp Water

  • For preparing batter, add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix properly, until a smooth paste form.
  • Now, add chopped Mushroom and blend well with the paste.
  • Heat the oil in a pan or a wok (kadai) and drooped the Mushroom pieces into the oil and fry, till they turn to golden brown.
  • Now, pour it out in a plate and keep it aside for some time.
  • Drain out most of the oil and keep around 1 tbsp of oil in a wok (kadai).
  • Add ginger, garlic, chili, dry red chili and saute, until golden brown and crisp.
  • Add vinegar, soya sauce, salt and sugar. Mix them properly into it.
  • Put some water and also mix that well.
  • Now, add those fry mushroom pieces and stir well, so that the sauce coats all the mushroom pieces.
  • Garnish with spring onion and serve immediately.
