Before moving towards the recipe, we suggest that you should chill the watermelon a night earlier to get a quick chill on the margaritas. Moreover, a 10 to 12-pound watermelon would be of a good size as this will allow the hand blender to move in depth inside the melon.

Required Ingredients:

  • 1 seedless, ripe watermelon (about 10-12 pounds (4.5-5.5 kg). Anything larger, the beater blades won’t reach inside to blend)
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) Tequila (or to taste)
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) fresh lime juice (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) simple syrup (see Notes at end of recipe)
  • about 1/2 teaspoon orange bitters (or to taste).
  • sea salt for rimming glasses (optional)
  • lime slices for garnish (optional)
  • ice
  • one 6-8 ounce paper or plastic cup

1. The first and foremost task is to carefully cut a hole in the watermelon, which is large enough to put the blender inside it. Start blending the stuff inside, keep it slow. Make sure you blend it at all the sides to get the maximum juice.

2. Pour 1 cup of the juice from inside to make enough space for the remaining ingredients.

3. Add tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and orange bitters inside the watermelon. Blend the mixture again so that all ingredients can be combined together appropriately.

4. Take a plastic cup and cut it out from the bottom. Make sure the cup fits smoothly inside the hole and sets against the edges. For that, cut out a section of the cup.

5. Place some lime juice on the edges of the glasses and have watermelon margarita and lime to garnish. Your drink is ready to be enjoyed with your pals.
