Quick and Easy Chocolate Banana Cake Recipe

Required Ingredients:

1. 11/2 cup and 2 tablespoons wheat flour/ atta

2. 6 tablespoon cocoa powder

3. A pinch of cinnamon powder

4. 2.5 tablespoon baking powder

5. 1/2 tablespoon salt

6. 1 cup organic fine sugar around 215 grams

7. 1/2 cup and 135 grams soft or melted butter

8. Egg yolk

9. 2 tablespoon vanilla extract

10. 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons lukewarm water (a total of 4 tbsp when using whole wheat flour)

11. 1 cup ripe banana puree of about 3 bananas

Instructions to follow:

1. Preheat the oven at 160 C for at least 15 mins. Take a baking tray, grease and line it with parchment paper. Mix flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and a bit of cinnamon powder. Stir them well so as to get a uniform mixture. When done, keep it aside.

2. Take sugar and measure it, beat the eggs in a bowl and make the banana puree by using a mixer or blender. After measuring it, add vanilla. Soothe the butter. A banana puree will give a better texture.

3. Add the luke warm water to a mixing bowl and pour sugar into it to melt it quickly.

4. After mixing the sugar, add the other earlier prepared ingredients i.e. butter, beaten eggs and mashed banana to the stuff.

5. Mix them with light hands. Make sure you don’t over do this.

6. Start mixing the flour to the mixture. Make sure you do it gently. The best way is to mix it in parts. Add half first and stir properly. Add the rest.

7. Mix well and remove lumps if any.

8. Add the batter to the greased tray. Put it into the preheated oven and bake for around 40-50 minutes at 160 C.

9. Take out the tray when the aforementioned time period gets over. Allow to cool it for about 5-7 minutes. You have two choices from here. Either you can enjoy it warm or go ahead frosting. To have a deliciously rich taste, you can go for condensed milk frosting or you can choose your own, totally up to you.

10. To relish the cake with a condensed milk frosting, add 1 tin condensed milk in a heavy bottom pan. Add around 60 grams of unsweetened chocolate to it.

11. Melt the mixture on a medium flame and stir it continuously. Make sure you mix it well so it doesn’t start burning.

12. Eventually, it will start turning into a luscious chocolate. When the chocolate gets completely melted, turn off the stove. Add 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tbsp water. Mix well. Keep it aside to make it cool.

13. Pour this dark chocolate frosting at the center of the cake and start spreading it to cover the whole segment. Make sure you spread it with a spatula to get a smooth covering on top. Try to scatter it evenly so that no edge can have an excess of the frosting on that side.

14. Keep it aside for a while so that it can set properly. To make it look more yummy and delicious, you can sprinkle grated chocolate over it or decorate it with sunflower seeds.
