Step by Step instructions on how to cook veg Manchurian and Fried Rice:

Ingredients for Manchurian balls

  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 3/4 cup of carrot (finely chopped)
  • 3/4 cup of cabbage (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup of capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • A few amount of oil for deep frying
  • Salt according to the taste
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper powder (Kaali Mirch)

Ingredients for Manchurian Sauce

  • 1 medium onion (small pieces)
  • 1/2 cup of capsicum (small pieces)
  • 3 tbsp spring onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger (finely chopped)
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1/2 tsp garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup

Ingredients for fried rice

  • 1 cup of basmati rice
  • 1/2 piece of ginger (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp spring onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cups of carrot, beans, and cabbage (finely chopped)
  • 3/4 tbsp of tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp of pepper powder
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste

Procedure to prepare this dish

Manchurian Balls


  • Put finely chopped carrot, cabbage, capsicum, green chili, and spring onion with 1 tsp oil, pepper powder, corn flour, and salt in a bowl.
  • Now, mix properly all the ingredients having in a bowl and prepare small round balls from the mixture. Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok (Kadahi) and when it’s hot enough to deep fry, then add balls into it and deep fry them until they turns golden brown.
  • Take out balls from the wok (Kadahi) and transfer to plate having tissue paper on it to remove excess of oil from them.

Manchurian Sauce


  • Heat oil in a wok (kadhai) on very high flame and add small pieces of onion, capsicum, green chili, finely chopped ginger, and garlic. Fried quickly for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now, add chili sauce, tomato sauce, soya sauce and mix it well.
  • Stir the mixture properly until the whole mixture gets boiled.
  • After that, add Manchurian balls into it and cooked for 2 minutes.
  • Vegetable Manchurian is ready.

Fried Rice


  • Cook rice in a cooker and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped ginger, garlic and fried them quickly.
  • Now add spring onion, and chopped onion and fried them for 2 minutes.
  • After that, add chopped vegetables into it and fried them properly.
  • Sprinkle soya sauce, tomato sauce, pepper powder,and salt according to taste. Mix all the ingredients.
  • Now, add the cooked rice and mix properly until combined uniformly. Cook for a few minutes, and then switched off the stove.
  • Garnished the rice with the chopped onion and serve it with Vegetarian Manchurian.
