  • To parboil pasta at home, take a large bowl of water. Bring it to the boil. The large bowl will help to cook the pasta evenly.
  • Now, add the pasta to this boiling water. After adding, add 1 tsp of salt, if required.
  • After that, add a bit of olive oil to avoid the stickiness.
  • Boil the pasta, until it’s almost done. This will now depend on the type of pasta.
  • Now, take out a piece of pasta from the boiling water and cool slightly.
  • Test it by biting into it. It should be a little underdone in the middle, because the pasta will cook once you start heating it up with other ingredients.
  • Drain this pasta and there it’s ready for use.
  • Moving to further process, heat butter in a pan and add maida. Fry for 30 seconds.
  • Add milk and whisk so that no lumps are formed.
  • Add thyme, oregano, basil leaves, salt and pepper. White sauce is ready, keep it aside for a while.
  • Heat olive oil in the same pan, add garlic cloves, mix vegetables and cook for a minute.
  • Now, add the parboil pasta, white sauce and grated cheese.
  • Cook for a minute and serve hot.
