A few days are left in Makar Sankranti and you all are very much excited as it’s the most fun-loving festival of Indians, especially for the kids?, who has already started flying the kites. Though this is an Indian festival, but its popularity is not limited to the local boundary. Bukhara-an Indian Eatery located at Kempinski Hotel, Ajman, United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the second Kite Festival on 16 January 2016. The hotel has collaborated with Tamquest Entertainment MFZE and Channel 4.

After gaining a huge success in the previous festival celebration?, held in 2015 and the same will be expected to this year also. The 2016 event will continue to explain Sankranti kite-flying traditions and Bukhara will offer a sumptuous buffet of tasty Indian food at the beach along with entertainment for both children? and adults?. At the time of an event, a professional kite-flying team from India will display its skills in flying colorful kites in every shape and size. The team members will also teach the contestants how best to use the wind to reach the skies.

Besides these, there will be delicious treats from Bukhara, music?, dancing?and entertainment for the kids. Overall, it will be a family?-fun day with lots of enjoyment. This celebration will take place on the 450-metre long white sandy beach of the hotel.You all know very well that Makar Sankranti is a harvest festival held on 14 January every year to celebrate the arrival of Spring season.

Throwing light on the tickets, which are available at Kempinski Hotel Ajman that include the entrance to the festival, a buffet lunch from 12:30 to 3:30 pm, a colorful kite for each participant and an exclusive performance by the resident DJ Alina. The doors will be opened sharp at 10 am and closed at 6 pm. This whole package price varies according to the age like:

  • For Adults: AED 100 (INR 1812.58)
  • For Kids (6-12 years): AED 50 (INR 906.29)
