Tastykhaana– An online food ordering company, that was purchased by Rocket Internet, now acquired by Foodpanda last year. At the time of acquisition, the company had announced that Tastykhaana would be established as an independent brand, but it seems that the decision has now changed.

This announcement comes after a few days when the Tastykhaana already started showing the logo of Foodpanda on its own homepage. “Tastykhanna will soon be merged with foodpanda” ,this message is currently displayed on hompage of Tastykhaana. The company’s CEO also sent a mail to the users of the company for notifying this information. Here, is the snapshot of mail which was sent by company’s CEO to their users.


Tastykhaana takes less charges on food compared to Foodpanda and it also includes many offers, like it offered 30% off + 25% cashback at the end of last month and a 20% off + 25% cashback during Holi in this month. Undoubtedly, these offer were only available to attract the customers attraction with heavy discounting on food.

When Foodpanda purchased Delivery Hero and Tastykhaana in November last year, after sometime of that, it had acquired UK-headquartered JustEat’s India operation, which is also an online food ordering service in just last month.

Tastykhanna was started in 2007 and from Delivery Hero, it had received more than $5 million investment in June 2013. Foodpanda has also raised its revenue and, now is planning to increase its business by tying up with 15000 restaurants across India.
