Mr. Rohit Chadda, the Managing Director (MD) of India’s famous online hot food-ordering and delivery company, Foodpanda may step down from the company or get enter into a different role in the same. He established Foodpanda with Amit Kohli in 2012, where, Kohli quit the company in 2013 and join another as General Manager (GM).

Saurabh Kocchar, who is currently the CEO of the company, stated,

“We still do not have clarify on Rohit’s resignatiom. We are discussing it internally right now”.

Currently, the company offers service in 39 countries globally and also facing increasing competition of other online ordering and delivering companies. The prominent online restaurant search industry, Zomato, which recently entered into the market and also entrants, such as TinyOwl and Fasco’s are making their market with a pace.

Yet, it is not clear that, if Mr. Rohit resigns the company, then he will be allowed to take his share from the company or the company buy his share. Foodpanda is the part of the German firm, Rocket Internet, which is an investor in the company. Since the beginning, the company’s has raised $310 revenue having a 52% share of Rocket Internet till now. There are many companies of Rocket Internet in India, which are going with the leadership changes and also have a good response in the Indian market.
