Summer is going on and most of the globetrotters prefer international holidays and a trip. So, for enhancing their enjoyment, the top hotels across the country have introduced heavy discounts and credit schemes to entice the customers for the summer season.

Hotels, such as The Lalit, The Park, Kempinski, Taj Hotels, The Leela and Lebua, all these are offering discounts between 10% to 40 % along with food and beverages credits this summer. Like, The Taj Palace, Delhi is proffering a 25% discount on suites and credit up to INR 1,500. Apart from, for the ambassadors, there is an additional discount.

Mr. Achin Khanna, Managing Director (MD), Consulting and Valuation, HVS, stated,

“During the summers and monsoons in India, there is an offset in leisure demand across most destinations (other than Goa and some hill stations). Hotels try and attract families to increase occupancies over the weekends”.

Mrs. Sonica Malhotra, director, MBD Group that owns the Radisson Blu hotel in Noida, stated,

“There is a definite decline in demand. So our best available rates are 15% – 20% lower than what we generally charge during season time or high demand days. By lowering our rates, we are generating additional demand for our hotel.

Online travel discount festival, the “Great Indian Travel Festival”, starts from this week by many hoteliers, which have come together to initiate this. Goibibo.com and Cox and Kings will offer discounts on some of the top hotels in the country like Hyatt and the Leela.
