Complan

After the huge controversy about noodles manufactured company, Nestle India, now the next turn is for the Complan manufactured company, HJ Heinz. One of the customers of Lucknow, U.P has been found dead worms in a Complan pack. Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) has given a notice to the company after receiving a complaint from the customer.

Mr. Basant Gupta, a food safety officer informed that,

“We had received a complaint that there was worm in Complan of Batch No. NAT G 23033A/15. Evidently, it was manufactured in Feburaray 2015“.

The complainant Tanisha Rai Singhania found worms, while adding a few spoons to the milk and stir it, then she saw the worms floating on the surface. She immediately told to the FSDA about it, then the organization sent a notice to the company and its manufacturing unit in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar via email to get a quick reply from the company.

It is the same organization, which had seized the Maggi, a noodle manufactured by Nestle India. Chief Food Safety Officer Mr. JP Singh informed that,

“ We have started collecting more samples of Complan and are sending them to laboratories for further test. In the meantime, we have sought an explanation from the manufacturing company. A team would be constituted to further probe after we receive their reply”.
