After being in the rumors from last few months, Samsung has finally unveiled the much- anticipated Galaxy Note 9 at an event in New York on 10th August 2018. It has been observed that Galaxy Note 9 is 15 percent and 20 percent efficient than the Galaxy S9 Plus and its predecessor Galaxy Note 8 respectively. The quite interesting part is that battery of Note 9 would run for the entire day in a single charge so the users don’t need to charge the phone again in the same day.
Alongside Galaxy Note 9, Samsung has also unveiled wireless charger called with Duo that enables users to charge two gadgets simultaneously either two Samsung smartphones or one Samsung smartphone and one Samsung smartwatch. The Samsung Wireless Duo charger is bundled with 7.5W output along with fast charging technology.

S Pen Comes Better This Time

The S Pen remains a similar identity in the Galaxy Note series smartphones for long years, but the Galaxy Note 9 S- pen comes with major upgrades. Samsung offers Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) S Pen in Note 9 for the first time in the Note series. Through this new connectivity, users will be able to use S- pen as a remote control to maneuver the Note 9 even from a distance.

By tapping on S Pen’s button, the users can use the camera app, operate the music player, unlock the smartphone and more. The S Pen can be charged while being inside the Galaxy Note 9. Storing it for a minute would provide it the power for 30 minutes of usage or 200 clicks equivalent.

Camera Becomes AI Intelligent

Samsung says that Galaxy Note 9 boasts the best cameras as compared to other flagship smartphones. The much hyped Galaxy Note 9 comes with dual rear 12MP cameras with an aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.4. The setup offers dual aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) which we have earlier seen on Galaxy Note 8. Up front, the smartphone gets an 8 MP selfie snapper with an aperture of f/1.7.

Galaxy Note 9 comes with latest software upgrades in the camera department. Samsung has offered AI- based scene detection which automatically detects 20 scene and selects the best setting for each scene. Defect Detection is another highlight of AI which automatically informs the users to capture the photo again if in case any of the photo was captured blur or eyes closed.

Yes, the Samsung and Epic made a deal to bring the much popular and hyped Fortnite game on latest galaxy flagship smartphones. It is yet unclear that how long the Fortnite will be available on Samsung but nevertheless, it’s a sweet deal to grab the game right on your new Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Is it worthy to upgrade?

The premium Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is to be available from 24th August in the US market but currently, the users can pre-order the smartphone which was started from 10th August, just one day after the official announcement.
In the US, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is available in Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple color options in unlocked and carrier versions. The low- end 128GB variant of Note 9 will be retailing at $999.99 for the unlocked version which is to be available for purchase via Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club, Straight Talk Wireless, Target, Walmart, and This unlocked version will be provided by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless, and Xfinity, particularly in the U.S. market.
The high-end 512GB variant of Galaxy Note 9 will be priced at $1249.99 which will be available for purchase at T-Mobile,, AT&T, T-Mobile and selected retail platforms.

Galaxy Note 9 India Price And Variants

The Samsung galaxy note 9 is officially posted on the Samsung website with the price sticker. Both 128GB/6GB RAM and 512GB/8GB RAM variants are available at the price of 67,900 and 84,900 respectively. One can pre-book them instantly but at full price to be paid in advance.

Comparison With Other Flagships

It remains to be seen how the Galaxy Note 9 would differ from other non- note smartphones?
Galaxy Note 9 would have to compete against the likes of Galaxy S9+. Most of the specifications of Note 9 and S9 are identical to each other comprising of Super AMOLED display, the company owned operating system, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, excellent dual rear cameras and more. The major highlighting difference between them is that Galaxy Note 9 comes with an S- Pen but is that sufficient reason to pay the high price for Note 9?

Likewise, there are various smartphones that are expected to be launched during 2018 – the most significant Google Pixel 3 XL.
