Volkswagen Tiguan 2017

The 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan, is a much anticipated and the first ever SUV model from the German carmaker in India. The carmaker has introduced this all-new Tiguan SUV in two variants including the Comfortline and the Highline, which will be locally assembled at the Aurangabad, Maharashtra based Volkswagen facility.

Exterior wise, based on the German Automotive Group’s MQB (modular transverse matrix) platform, the Tiguan comes furnished with attributes such as LED headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), LED tail lamps and Panoramic sunroof with LED surround lighting. While, the Highline trim of the SUV rides on either 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, Volkswagen kept its complete focus on occupant’s comfort and convenience, as this second-generation Tiguan is blessed with several facilities such as three-zone automatic climate control system with rear controls, electronically operable front seats, heating function for both the front seats, leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, 8.0-inch Composition touchscreen smart infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and 8-speaker sound system as standard.

Underneath the hood, the Volkswagen Tiguan is powered by a single powertrain variant of 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged TDI diesel engine. Mated to a single gearbox option of a 7-Speed DSG transmission, the mill is capable of producing 143 PS of maximum power at 4,000 rpm along with the peak torque of 340 Nm at 1,750 – 2,750 rpm. Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2017

2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which is the third-generation emergent is a complete change inside out from the Indo-Japanese giant auto major. The carmaker has introduced this all-new Dzire across four variants consisting  L, V, Z and Z+, which are available in both petrol and diesel powertrains.

Based on the shared Heartech platform with the current-gen Baleno hatch, this all-new sub-4 meter compact sedan is around 85kg and 105kg lighter than its outgoing petrol and diesel variants respectively.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2017

Underneath the hood, the premium looking Dzire is loaded with the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines. Both the engines are being offered with a 5-speed manual and a 5-Speed ASG (Auto Gear Shift) options across all the variants remaining the base one. While, the petrol engine is capable of producing maximum power of 83PS along with 113Nm of peak torque, the diesel engine is tuned to churn out 75PS of maximum power and 190Nm of peak torque. Thanks to the lighter Heartech platform, the company claims both the petrol and diesel variants are adequate enough to return the fuel efficiency of 22kmpl and 28.4kmpl respectively.

Aesthetically, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is decorated with several mid-class luxury components such as LED projector headlamps, DRLs (Daytime Running Light), reverse parking sensors and camera, which made it a premium offering from the auto major.

Inside the cabin, you will get a Smart infotainment system with built-in navigation and voice command supports, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, push start/stop button, automatic climate control, auto headlamps and electronically adjustable wing mirrors.

At the safety front, the 2017 Dzire is blessed with standard features including pretensioners & force limiters in the front seat belts, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) with BA (Brake Assist), ISOFIX anchorages and really important  dual airbags, across all variants.

Isuzu MU-X SUV

Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner rival, the Isuzu MU-X SUV has entered the Indian auto segment with lots of woes and wows. The 7-seater muscular SUV is the premium class offering from the Japanese carmaker and is said to be a successor of MU-7. As MU-X is the uber class SUV, it is loaded with a range of top-end features and smart equipment.

Isuzu MU-X SUVIsuzu offers this new flagship MU-X SUV in only one diesel powertrain which is a 3.0-litre 4-cylinder VGS turbo setup and develops a maximum power of 174 bhp and a peak torque of 380 Nm. The mill is only paired with a standard 5-speed sequential shift automatic transmission. The outputs are channelled to all four wheels with terrain command control and ‘shift on the fly’ 4×4 select dial.The MU-X is a full sized 7-seater SUV featuring a twin-cockpit design with a dual-tone ivory-grey colour theme. To boost the occupants’ comfort, the seats are wrapped in soft leather. The door-side armrest and center armrest are too covered with the soft pads.

The list of features inside the cabin includes climate control, aircon vents for all three rows, integrated 7-inch infotainment system, cruise control and central locking with keyless entry feature.

On the safety bag, the MU-X SUV is loaded with a number safety equipment and several drive assist technology. The list consists dual front airbags, ISOFIX mounts for the child seat, ABS, EBD, ESC, Brake Assist, Traction Control System and Hill Start Assist.

Ford has updated two of its popular cars in India under the Sports moniker for the model year of 2017. Based on the range-topping Titanium trim, the Sports guise of both the cars features a number of cosmetic updates along with the several mechanical tweaks.

At the front, the Figo loses its horizontal grill with mesh grille patterns, making the front fascia more aggressive while the Aspire continues to feature horizontal pattern slats but all blacked out.
List of updates on the Figo includes all-black grille, black coloured 15-inch alloy wheels, a contrast roof, boot mounted spoiler and blacked out wing mirrors. The Aspire, on the other hand, features silver-finish 15-inch alloy wheels and blacked out horizontal grille slats. Other similar changes in both cars are smoked headlamps, all-black interiors, leather-wrapped steering wheel (with red stitching in Figo and grey stitching in Aspire) and side and rear decals with the ‘S’ badge.
The Figo Sports version is available in dual tone colour shades, while the Aspire Sports misses out the dual tone paint scheme.

Unlike the sports update to the other cars, both the Figo and Aspire gets a revised suspension in order to enhance the handling driveability of the cars.
Under-the-hood specs of both the cars remain identical to that of the current lineups. The new variants will be offered across the same three powertrains – 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel motor.

Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift

Hyundai Motors India has updated its premium entry-level hot-hatch i20 for the 2017 model year to keep it upmarket with its rivals. The facelift Hyundai Elite i20 gets inside out updates along with various added features.
Just like popular compact SUV, Maruti Vitara Brezza, the new Elite i20 now comes with dual-tone exterior paint schemes – red or white body colour with gloss black roof. Hyundai has also introduced an all new Marina Blue shade for the 2017 model of Elite i20.

Hyundai Elite i20 FaceliftInside the cabin, the facelift version features a cheerful interior theme with orange accent on the upholstery, dashboard AC vents, center console and gear knob. With the host of new tech equipment, the cabin of new Elite i20 has become a benchmark in the segment.
Under-hood specs for the 2017 model also remain unchanged. The facelift version is offered in two petrol and one diesel powertrains. The 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and develops 82 bhp and 115 Nm.
On the other hand, the 1.4-litre 4-cylinder CRDi turbo diesel motor is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and generates 89 bhp and 220 Nm.
Besides, there is also an option for 1.4-litre petrol automatic variant that is good for 99 bhp and 132 Nm. The motor is mated to a 4-speed Dual VTVT automatic gearbox.

Audi A3 Facelift 2017

Audi India has updated its smallest offering, Audi A3 sedan for the model year of 2017 with new powertrains and several cosmetic tweaks. This is a mid-cycle update of the Audi A3 and is based on the third-generation A3 hatchback which is not available in India.
On the exteriors, the refreshed Audi A3 features a new single frame grille up front similar to that of the Audi A4. The headlamps are also inspired from the elder sibling A4. Carmaker’s Xenon plus units are now standard in the updated range. The 2017 Audi A3 facelift drives on the new set of 16-inch alloy wheels.
Step inside, and you will see a whole blacked out cabin aura. The list of features on the 2017 Audi A3 consists a 7-inch retractable display for the MMI infotainment system, Audi phone box which enables wireless charging system and a lot more!

Audi A3 Facelift 2017The major update to the 2017 Audi A3 lies beneath its hood. The carmaker has replaced the more powerful 108 hp 1.8-litre engine with a smaller 1.4-litre TFSI engine which, however, produces lower power but increases the fuel economy. This new downsized motor generates 150 PS (30 PS less than the engine it replaced) along with the peak torque of 250 Nm (similar to earlier). This power mill is mated to 7-speed DSG gearbox.
On the other hand, the diesel powertrain remains unchanged with the same 2.0-litre TDI motor paired with 6-speed DSG automatic and develops 143 PS & 320 Nm.

Nissan Terrano Facelift

Nissan launched the 2017 facelift variant of its mid-sized SUV Terrano along with 22 new upgradations as compared to its previous variants. The Terrano made its debut back in October 2013, and received just a single update in its Groove edition.

As we have mentioned, the company has introduced 22 new features along with the new variant, which includes a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and voice recognition, electrically operable ORVMs, hill climb assist and cruise control. The interior of the new variant also gets a nice black and brown dual-tone colour scheme, redesigned steering wheels with controls for telephony and audio.

Nissan Terrano Facelift

Coming next to exterior, the 2017 Nissan Terrano Facelift comes with a new paint scheme named as Sandstone Brown along with new LED DRLs. Apart from new cosmetics and feature upgradations, the new model also features anti-lock brakes (ABS) and dual airbags as standard.

The Terrano is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine, which develops 103 bhp of maximum power along with 145 Nm of peak torque with the help of a 5-speed manual transmission unit. A 1.5-litre diesel engine is also made available by the company in two states of tunes. The less powerful one develops maximum power of 84 bhp along with 200 Nm of peak torque, while the powerful one churns out 108 bhp of max power along with 243 Nm of peak torque.

Lexus LX 450d –

The flagship SUV of the luxury brand, Lexus LX450d is based on the same platform that also underpins its cousin sister, Toyota Land Cruiser. This is the biggest offering of the brand in India. The hulkish SUV is only offered in diesel powertrain. The unit consists a turbocharged 4.5-litre V8 arrangement which is good for 265 PS of maximum power and a massive torque of 650Nm. Further, the power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Lexus LX 450d

Lexus ES300h –

Launched Date – March 24, 2017
Price – INR 55.27 Lakh

The luxury sedan, ES 300h shares its platform with the Toyota Camry and is the entry-level car of the Lexus in the Indian market. Under the skin, it hides a 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor unit.

The mechanical mill solely develops 160 PS of power and 230 Nm of torque, whereas the electric motor churns out 143 PS of power and 270 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an e-CVT unit and transmits power to the front wheels only. The car hits 100 kmph speed from a standstill in 8.5 seconds and returns a company claimed fuel economy of 17 kmpl.

Lexus RX 450h –

The premium crossover RX 450h is being offered in two versions – Lexus RX Luxury and Lexus RX F-Sport. The letter ‘h’ in the name stands for a hybrid powertrain.
Both the trims are powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) technology and a 650V AC permanent magnet synchronous battery setup.

Lexus RX 450h

While the mechanical unit churns out 262 PS of power and 335 Nm of torque, the electric battery generates 68 PS of power and 139 Nm of torque solely. The engine is mated to an e-CVT (Electronically-controlled Continuously Variable Transmission) unit and combinely develops a maximum power of 313 PS along with the peak torque of 361 Nm. The power is transmitted to all four-wheel.

Porsche Panamera Turbo (Petrol)

Porsche India has introduced its beautiful second-generation Panamera in two variants across the country, which includes, the Panamera Turbo and the Panamera Turbo Executive. The Panamera Turbo made its official debut in June, last year, at an event in Berlin Germany, whereas the Panamera Turbo Executive was first seen in Los Angeles Auto Show 2016.

Porsche Panamera Turbo (Petrol)

The exterior part of the second-gen Panamera has been changed a bit as compared to its predecessor. The front remains unchanged, but this time rear has been designed a bit sharper and the new tail lamps also point the latest 911. Moreover, the new German beauty also gets LED headlights (standard) with Porsche’s Dynamic Light System (PDLS), panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control with a touch screen display for the rear occupants, sound systems by Bose or Burmester, and much more.

The new 2017 Porsche Panamera is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol motor, which is capable of churning out 550PS of maximum power between 5,750 and 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 770 NM between 1,960 and 4,500rpm. It is also blessed with cylinder deactivation tech and new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK II), which is the reason of its improved overall efficiency.

Honda WR-V

Honda Cars India launched the Honda WR-V in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 7.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The WR-V is available in two trims i.e. the base ‘S’ and the top-spec ‘VX’. The car will compete against the prominent cars like Ford EcoSport and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.


The Honda WR-V borrows some design cues from the Jazz as the side profile of the WR-V shares similar design layout with Honda Jazz. The carmaker has aimed to make the WR-V a complete off-roader vehicle. It gets a wheelbase of 2,530 mm. It is powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that yields a maximum power of 90 bhp and the peak torque of 110 Nm. While the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel mill churns out the maximum power of 100 bhp and a peak torque of 200 Nm. The diesel engine is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, while the petrol engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The all-new Honda WR-V is loaded with an array of features such as touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options, reverse parking camera, climate control setup and an inbuilt navigation.

Toyota Corolla Altis

Toyota, the Japanese automobile manufacturer launched its Corolla Altis facelift in 6 different variants across the country. The premium class sedan made its global debut in July last year, and was first made available for Russian markets only. The petrol variants of the Japanese beauty includes G (MT), G (CVT), GL (MT), VL (CVT), whereas the diesel variants include DG (MT) and VL (CVT).

The new 2017 Corolla Altis is now blessed with a sharper and stylish looks, which makes it way too different from its previous model. Apart from some cosmetics updates, the sedan gets new LED head and tail lamps, LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs), new front fascia (featuring new grille, redesigned bumper, and hood), chrome finish door handles and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Toyota Corolla Altis

Coming next to interior, the car features a new upholstery and a Sat-nav touch infotainment display as a highlight. Apart from this, it also comes with a Pre-Collision System (PCM), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB), besides the currently offers, such as Airbags, ABS, EBD and Cruise Control as safety measures.

Under the hood, there is the same 1.8-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel powertrains. The petrol motor, with the help of a 6 speed manual or CVT transmission unit is capable of developing 140 bhp of maximum power output while the diesel unit is capable of churning out 88 bhp of maximum power along with 205 Nm of peak torque with the help of a 6-speed manual transmission unit.

2017 JLR Range Rover Evoque

Tata Motors-owned JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) introduced the much anticipated SUV, new Range Rover Evoque across six trims. With the launch of new Evoque range, JLR has introduced its new engine family. Now, the 2017 Range Rover Evoque became the first SUV in the country to be powered by the Ingenium Diesel motor.

What’s the biggest change to the new 2017 Range Rover Evoque series is fall beneath the front-end of the baby SUV. the new range of Evoque is powered by the all new 2.0-litre all-aluminium Ingenium diesel engine that also does duty in the Jaguar XF. Facelift Volvo V40 and V40 Cross Country

Volvo India has introduced the updated versions of its existing V40 line up, facelift V40 and V40 Cross Country. The V40 range is being offered across 4 trims – V40 D3 Kinetic, V40 D3 R-Design, V40 Cross Country D3 Inscription and V40 Cross Country T4 Momentum. The V40 D3 R-design became the cheapest car to be sold in the country carrying the Volvo badge. The updates to the facelift versions are limited to the aesthetics, while mechanically both the cars remain identical to their forerunning models.

On the exteriors, the facelift version of the V40 receives a revised front fascia which is complemented by the Volvo’s signature ‘Thor’s Hammer’ shaped LED headlights. The grille gets waterfall vertical slats holding the company’s badge and looks more prominent than before. Expect the front, the side and the rear sections of the car get no noteworthy tweaks, it continues to drive on the same 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels, features same LED tail lamps. The elder sibling, V40 Cross Country also went under the same subtle changes those were reported on the V40.

What’s unique on both cars is the World’s first-in-industry pedestrian airbag which comes as a standard feature across all trims. The list of other standard safety equipment includes safety cage, 2-stage deployable front airbags with driver knee bag, pre-tensioners for front seatbelts, dynamic stability & traction control, emergency brake assist with ABS, side impact protection and whiplash protection.

As we mentioned above, no change has been made under the hood. Both the V40 and the V40 Cross Country continue to drive using the same sub 2L powerhouse that is capable of churning out the maximum power of 150 hp and the peak torque of 320 Nm.

Mini Cooper Clubman All4

The all new Clubman All4 is offered in India only in a single Cooper S variant and became the most expensive Mini in the country. The Clubman All4 is more like an estate version of the Cooper hatchback and has finally entered the Indian market after launched in several global markets.

The Cooper Clubman All4 gets the same iconic Mini face with the extended wheelbase. Besides four-door entry, the car also features the two-door setup at the rear which will surely remind you of the 90s. The rear doors further give access to the boot space of decent capacity of 360 litres which can be further increased to 1,250 litres.

The Clubman All4 is slightly different from the brand’s regular tone and gets some new features that are completely fresh for the Mini lineup. Some of them are an electronic parking brake, electric seat adjustment, individual ‘Mini Yours Interior’ customisation option, an optional ‘comfort access’ system that allows the owner to open the tailgate without touching it physically.

Mini offered this estate Clubman All4 in only S trim. It houses a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor beneath its hood, the same powertrain also does duty on Cooper S. The engine is good to produce the maximum power of 192 PS which comes out at 5,000 rpm and the peak torque of 280 Nm at 1,250 rpm. The motor is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The car gets 0 to 100 kmph in the company-claims 6.9 seconds and goes up to the top speed of 225 kmph. Unlike the all-wheel drive system which is on offer in several markets, what we get is only a front wheels drive system.

Mercedes-AMG C 43

Mercedes-Benz India has finally come up with its 13th fresh launch of the year, the Mercedes-AMG C 43. However, Mercedes initially planned for 12 vehicles for the 2016 calendar year. The newest C-Class AMG C 43 is launched in a single variant and became the entry level performance AMG model of the series.

The more accessible C-Class AMG gets twin-turbo V6 under the hood, instead of the immersive V8 that does duty on the range-topping C 63. Also, it also misses front arches that enhance aggressiveness on the C 63, however, it gets all the AMG blessed features. The C 43 Coupe is quick and attains 100 kmph from a standstill in a decent 4.7 seconds while the top speed has been limited to 250 km/h.

Mercedes-AMG C 43

Under the hood, the AMG C 43 Coupe comes fitted with a 3.0-litre twin-Turbo V6 petrol engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 367 bhp and a peak torque of 520 Nm. The motor is paired to a 9-speed transmission. For effortless driving, the C 43 Coupe offers three driving modes, namely, Sport, Comfort and Sports Plus.

On the aesthetics, the new AMG C 43 looks inspired from the standard C-class. Coming on the exteriors, the entry level AMG C 43 receives new front and rear bumpers, bigger 18-inch alloy wheels and spectacular diamond grill. Inside, it is decorated with amazing graphic package along with premium upholstery and instrument panel. The list of standard features includes leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, electric seats and a panoramic sunroof. What makes C 43 different are the leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, an AMG instrument cluster, aluminium pedals, and red seatbelts. It also comes fitted with an 8.4-inch smart infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Nissan GT-R:-

Nissan introduced its most stylish and powerful super sports car, the GT-R in India as a 2017 model year, after the global launch in 2007. The highly expensive 2+2 seater, sports beauty gets a handmade 3.8-litre V6 24-Valve twin turbocharged engine which is capable of churning out the maximum power of 570 hp at 6,800 rpm after receiving the small bump, and the peak torque of 637 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The GT-R attains 0-100 kmph in sub 3-seconds and goes up to the top speed of 315 kmph.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R model gets several noteworthy exterior tweaks over the regular one, including a revised front fascia that is embellished with a new front lip spoiler, a revamped bumper, restyled engine bonnet, and a signature V-motion grille along with a redesigned mesh pattern. Moving on the sides, they have also been modernised to direct airflow around the unit. At the rear, the bumper has also slightly been reworked.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Facelift

The German luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz had made an announcement back in January this year in which it mention the plan of adding 12 new products to the company’s Indian car portfolio. Well, keeping that promise in mind, the automaker has now introduced its final edition of this year. Along with some minor cosmetic tweaks at both inside and out, the CLA facelift 2016 compact executive sedan is available at the minimum price of INR 31.40 Lakh. Under this facelift treatment, the CLA facelift gets a more expressive face that has been highlighted by larger air intakes, slightly updated LED daytime running lights and an updated set of headlights with full LED support. Dimensionally, it measures 4630 mm in length, 1432 mm in height, 1777 mm in width,and has a wheelbase of 2699 mm.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Facelift

In terms of the powertrain, it drag the same driving facility from the outgoing model. The petrol-powered unit comes with a 2.0-litre turbo unit which churns out 184 bhp at 5500 rpm  with 300 nm of torque at 1200-4000 rpm which offers a fuel mileage of 17.2 kmpl. The diesel engine is powered by a 2.1 Litre CRDi engine that makes out a power of 134 bhp with 300 nm of torque and claiming a mileage of 21 kmpl. Both the mills are mated to a 7-speed auto gearbox which transmits the power to the only front wheels. The CLA will lock the horns with Audi A3 and will also eventually taken on the likes of BMW 1 Series Sedan, once launched here in India sometime in 2017.

Porsche Macan R4:-

The least expensive variant of the Porsche has gone on sale in India in the form of Macan R4. It is the fourth trim of the vehicle that is being put up for sale here in the country after the S Diesel, Turbo and Turbo with Performance Package. The decision of bringing this SUV come soon after the debut of its closest rival, Jaguar F-Pace which has been doing rounds on the Indian roads since October this year. The design of the car more or less dated with the other Macan variants, with no such distinctive updates are there.

Porsche Macan R4

On the mechanical front, it gets a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that can propel the unit with a power of 252 PS at 5,000-6,800 rpm along with 370 Nm of torque at 1,600-4,500 rpm. The outcome is dispatched to all four wheels with the help of Porsche’s 7-speed ‘PDK’ dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Furthermore, the automaker claims that the Macan R4 can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in a just 6.7 seconds and can hit a top speed of 229 kmph. The new 2016 Hyundai Tucson has been relaunched to fill the gap between the premium SUV, Santa Fe and the best-selling crossover, Creta. It is offered with the choice of a 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine with both manual and automatic gearbox. Coming on the exterior details of the car, the front fascia of the car is dominated by a large chrome-accented hexagonal grille, swept back LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. High shoulder line and waistline further enhance its design ideology, while the glow of the rear profile is heightened by dual exhaust pipe, skid plate, a sloping roofline and wrap-around LED tail-lamps.


The interiors of the latest Tucson SUV looks similar to that of the recently launched new Elantra. Instead of the big 7-seat arrangement, the 2016 Tucson targets a plush five-seater segment.   Since the new Tucson sits above the Creta, it gets a slew of updated features and equipment including the dual-zone climate control, a 4.2-inch touchscreen entertainment system, automatic climate control, an 8-inch smart infotainment system paired to the six speakers.

Beneath the front-end, the 2016 Tucson is offered in both petrol and diesel powertrains. The specification of the petrol mill includes an all-new 2.0-litre, naturally aspirated, four cylinder engine with the outputs of 147 PS and 180 Nm. The diesel engine gets a 2.0-litre CRDi four-cylinder unit which is good for 185 bhp and 400 Nm. Both the powertrains are mated to either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. There is no option for the all-wheel drive system, all the units come with the two-wheel drive.

Renault Kwid AMT:-

We first saw this all-new Easy-R AMT version at the 2016 Auto Expo in February this year. First, the 0.8-litre Kwid, then the 1.0-litre and now the AMT, looks like the automaker is making every possible effort to lure the Indian buyers. Moreover, it does not get any changes in terms of styling except a digital speedometer and MediaNav multimedia and navigation system.

The latest offering Easy-R AMT unit will only be available in single trim level – RXT (O) as well as gets the same 1.0-litre petrol engine that earlier introduced under the bonnet of Kwid SCe unit. The petrol motor in question here is a 3-cylinder, 999cc displacement of a motor which is making out a power of 66 bhp at 5500 rpm along with 91 Nm of peak torque at 4250 rpm. Painted in a unique Ascari Metallic Blue exterior, it also houses a fresh Sports Air suspension a dynamic ride control facility, dynamic steering and RS exhaust setup along with ceramic disc brakes. The new 2016 Skoda Rapid facelift is available in three variants – the Active, the Ambition and the Style, and get both diesel and petrol powertrains. It grabs the attention for revamped exteriors with more angular styling, and updated powertrain.

On the designing front, the Skoda Rapid facelift shares some cues with the latest generation Superb and Skoda Octavia sedan. Mini has introduced a new Carbon edition of Cooper S which was discontinued in India. This special edition is limited to only 20 unit for sale and available exclusively on Amazon India. In terms of price, the Carbon edition costs INR 8.4 Lakh more than the standard Cooper S.

The Carbon edition of the Mini Cooper S is tuned by John Cooper Works kit and available in three exterior colour options – Midnight Black, Thunder Grey and Paper White. Aesthetic updates in John Cooper Works (JCW) include valve exhaust system with sport and track mode, carbon fibre tailpipe, Bluetooth exhaust control, an aerodynamic body kit, matte black sport and side racing stripes and decals with red piping, JCW sports seats and black 17-inch cosmos spoke alloys.

Equipment list on the Carbon edition includes LED headlamps, electronic damper control, heads-up display, drive modes, rear-parking sensors and an optional 8.8-inch smart infotainment display with a touch-pad controller.

The Indian arm of the Japanese automobile manufacturer, Honda, has introduced the latest generation Accord sedan in India with a host of amazing features and a hybrid powertrain. The car has made its re-entry in the country after a hiatus of three years and stands at ninth-gen. The India-bound Accord Hybrid was first displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo featuring a new front fascia and more premium cabin. Despite having a slightly higher price tag, it will compete with the likes of Toyota Camry and upcoming Volkswagen Passat GTE.

Honda Accord Hybrid

The intelligent multi-mode drive i.e. Sports Hybrid i-MMD system powertrain comprises a traditional 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated internal combustion motor and an electric motor performed by a 1.3 Kilowatt/h lithium-ion battery package. The petrol engine here is enough efficient to sprint the unit with a maximum power of 145 bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque, while the electric motor can propel the machine with a power of 184  bhp and a massive torque of 315 Nm. The combined power of the Honda Accord hybrid is rated at 212 Bhp.

For transmission, it has been equipped with an E-CVT automatic transmission that comes attached with three automotive drive modes – EV drive, Engine drive and Hybrid drive. Besides, three selectable driving modes are also available such as Sport, EV and ECON.

Mahindra e2o Plus

Mahindra and Mahindra offers the next-gen e2o plus Electric Vehicle in four variants namely, P2 (Commercial), P4, P6 and P8. The carmaker revamped the e2o with the four-door version which is longer (by 310mm), wider (by 61mm) and taller (by 25mm) than the two-door e2o. It gets an extended wheelbase which is longer by 300mm and provides enough room for the rear occupants.

On the power front, it uses a 72V battery pack which has increased the driving range up to 140 kilometers in compared to the 2 door e2o which has a driving range of 120 kilometers. However, with this extended driving range, the charging time has also been shot up to nine hours as opposed to 5 hours in the previous one.

Mahindra e2o Plus

The battery package drives the motor with the maximum power output of 41 hp at 3,500 rpm and 91 Nm of peak torque which comes at 2,500 rpm. The motor is further coupled with a standard automatic drive transmission similar to the 2-door version. Top speed has also been boosted a bit, the next-gen e2o has a top speed of 85 kmph compare to the 81 kmph in the 2-door version.

Some of the new highlighted exterior updates include front grill with vertical slats with chrome surroundings, rear door handles on the windows, new roof mounted spoiler and vertically stacked LED taillights at the back. Inside the cabin, the small car has sufficient space for the four occupants with the practically four doors. The standard equipment list throughout all variants include a Blaupunkt infotainment system, all four power windows and keyless go.

Jaguar F-Pace

When it comes to the aesthetics, there are no significant changes have been made so far in the vehicle design. Although, a closer look reveals some disguise details including a covered plug-in socket, residing on the front fender and a T8 named badge embossed on the boot.
