Chevrolet Essentia

Chevrolet Essentia got unveiled at the Auto Show 2016, this vehicle kept lots of car enthusiasts in talking.This anticipated sedan is yet to be launched and is no more a mystery. It is likely to come with a 1.0-litre diesel engine, along with a 1.2-litre petrol engine.


Apart from this, the cabin offers a fine experience of the comfort and entertainment options with a 7-inch Infotainment system. Other core features of this sedan include USB and Aux-In, adjustable seats, warning signals, a sound speaker unit make the ride cozy and comfortable.

Fiat Tipo

Fiat Tipo, also known as Aegean in some markets is the Linea’s successor. It was showcased at the Istanbul Motor Show last year and the Italian carmaker is planning to bring this car to the Indian shores. Tipo is expected to offer two petrol motors and two diesel mills, delivering power range of 90PS-120PS. The petrol power mills shall be offered in both manual and automatic transmission options whereas the diesel mill will get a manual transmission.


Dimensionally, the car measures 4.5 meters in length, 1.78 meters in width and 1.48 meters in height. It also gets a 510-litre boot space. Tipo will come with an array of safety features such as airbags, ABS, automatic climate control, Tom-tom navigation maps and Fiat’s Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system. In the Indian market, Fiat Tipo will compete against Volkswagen Vento, Honda city and Maruti Ciaz.

Toyota Vios

Dimensionally, Toyota Vios is 4,410mm long, 1,700 mm wide, and 1,475 tall, which shows that the car is comparatively smaller in size than its rivals like Hyundai Verna and Ciaz. The India-spec Vios will be powered by the 1.5-litre petrol mill sourced from the Etios model, while the 1.4-litre D-4D diesel mill is sourced from the Corolla Altis. The India-spec model is likely to be offered with an automatic transmission.


Some major features to be offered with the Toyota Vios includes a smart entry system, ABS, dual airbags, projector headlamps, automatic climate control, a push start system, an Eco meter, a theft deterrent system and an immobilizer.

Ford Mondeo

Christened with Ford’s ‘One World’ philosophy, the Mondeo shall be making entry in the Indian market by the coming year 2017. Due to some issues, the company failed to bring the sedan in the past but now thinks that it is the right time to act and bring the executive sedan to the country.


Mechanically, we expect to see the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine that presently powers the EcoSport SUV in the Indian market. The diesel power mill would be a 1.6-litre TDCi engine or a 1.5-litre unit that currently powers the Ford Fiesta in India.

Tata Kite 5

Tata Motors is keen to launch its much-awaited project car Kite 5 in the Indian market. The sedan was showcased in the 2016 auto expo. As of now, Tata motors is planning to launch its bolt model before the kite 5 model in the Indian market. The cabin is much more upmarket and enhanced in comparison to the Indigo eCS. The carmaker is also expected to offer some premium quality material finish inside the cabin.


The Tata Kite will be offered with both petrol as well as diesel engine options. The car is likely to be powered by the new 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine sourced from the Zest, and a diesel motor. Both the engines will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the AMT transmission might also be introduced on a later stage.

Volkswagen Passat GTE

The new Passat is a lot more refreshing and upgraded in comparison to the current model. The new Passat is based on the MQB platform, which makes it 85 kg lighter than the ongoing model. The wheelbase has also been increased and the interior space has been enriched in order to give a tough competition to its closest rivals. The dashboard too looks elegant and properly positioned air con vents.


The new car will be powered by the 2.0 TDI engine generating a peak power of 187 bhp. The engine is very refined and efficient. The new 237 bhp twin turbo diesel engine would be coupled with the popular VW DSG dual clutch gearbox.

Hyundai Sonata Facelift

The 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is likely to offer airy and luxurious interior along with amazing features and technology upgrades. The 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is expected to come with Hyundai’s 2.0-litre “Nu” GDI four-cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and more powerful 38kW electric motor, making it more responsive and premium sedan.


The carmaker claims that the Sonata facelift will offer 10 percent more fuel efficiency in comparison to the 2015 hybrid model. The hybrid car will be loaded with an array of safety features such as ABS with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, brake assist, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) with traction control, blind spot detection system and a rearview camera.

Renault Talisman

The new Renault Talisman measures 4.85 m in length, 1.87 m in width and 1.46 m in height and it offers a long wheelbase of 2.81 m. The exterior design language is highly appreciable and takes cues from latest Renault styling as seen in the Escape crossover. The front and the rear gets highly contemporary light patterns. The interior too takes design inspiration from the e Espace crossover. The digital instrument cluster features three infotainment system over different trim levels. The top-end trim gets a huge portrait display infotainment system.


It will be offering a very spacious and luxurious cabin while offering a large boot space of 608 liters which can be further expanded with the help of 60:40 split rear seats. When it comes to the exterior design language, the saloon gets the latest Renault styling cues that can be seen on the new Espace crossover model.

Volvo C70

The Volvo C70 convertible was first previewed at the 2008 Auto expo. The Swedish carmaker has some plans to introduce this sedan sometime later this year. The Volvo C70 would come with a retractable hard roof and would prove to be a classy beast for sure.


The Volvo C70 Convertible will be an interesting car model and if everything goes right with the Swedish carmaker then this model might change the brand image of the carmaker. In the Indian market, C70 will rival against Audi A5 Cabriolet.

Renault Laguna

Renault Laguna is being manufactured at the company’s plant in Sandouville in France. Talking about the interior, the Laguna houses sports-style mixed upholsteries. Premium quality color schemes have been used in decorating the cabin. The Laguna present in the international market comes loaded with 2.0-litre dCi engines delivering 130PS and 150PS of maximum power respectively.

Skoda Octavia vRS

Design-wise, the Octavia vRS looks quite similar to its sibling but the major differentiating elements are the sporty updates and some new attachments such as a new bodykit, bold vRS badging at the back, honeycomb-shaped air intakes on the re-designed front grille, bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a black diffuser at the back, chrome plated exhaust tips, a rear spoiler and red painted brake callipers. Also, the D-Segment sedan will come with a choice of new 17-, 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels.


The interior cabin gets a sporty finish with a leather wrapped steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and sill plates and leather wraps on the handbrake and the gear knob. The updated infotainment system will be the center of attraction. The Skoda Octavia vRS will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit develops 217PS of max power, while the diesel variant i.e a 2.0-litre TDI engine delivers 182PS. Both engines could be mated to either a 6-Speed manual transmission or a 6-Speed dual clutch gearbox with optional paddle shifters.
