As we know that, Indian sweets are incomplete without Bengali sweets and they occupy a special place in the diet of Bengalis. So, today we are coming with one of the famous Bengali dishes known as “Chena Murki”. It is easy in cooking and takes very less time and the ingredients used in it are very basic and mostly available at homes. The sweet dish is in the dice shape and you can easily prepare it at home. So, prepare this quick Bengali sweet and impress your family members and friends.

Here, we are bringing the recipe for Chena Murki so at the time of cooking follow these instructions:

Ingredients used in it

  • Fresh cheese (paneer)- 750 gm
  • Ghee- 500 gm
  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • 1 litre water
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 10-20 drops of rose essence

How to cook Chena Murki

  • First of all cut the cheese (paneer) into small pieces.
  • Now, heat the ghee in a deep wok (kadhai) and after that, add cheese (paneer) pieces into it.
  • Saute the paneer pieces until they turn into light golden color.
  • Take out the cheese (paneer) pieces from tha wok (kadhai) and put them into a vessel.
  • Now, prepare sugar syrup into another wok (kadhai) by mixing water and sugar.
  • Cook it till the mixture becomes thick.
  • Add cardamom powder and rose drops into the mixture.
  • Soak cheese (paneer) pieces into it and mix well so that they get properly coated with sugar syrup and keep aside for cooling.
  • Chena Murki is ready.
