The Italian two wheeler manufacturer Benelli recently launched its awaited naked motorcycle TNT 25 in the middleweight segment. The motorcycle comes in two variants, standard version and premium version. The motorcycle is the affordable offering by the automaker for the Indian enthusiasts. The DSK Benelli TNT 25 is a blend of power and performance that will definitely fulfill the basic need of good mileage for the Indian audience. The Benelli claimed the healthy mileage of 30kmpl. Here we are going to compare it with the home based Tourer motorcycle, Mahindra Mojo.

?Design and Style

Benelli TNT 25 gets a basic design with less styling in comparison to its siblings. The multi spoke alloy wheel, visible frame and split seat catches are the main components which made the motorcycle attractive in looks. The TNT logo on the fuel tank with Red and White color combination enhances the beauty of the motorcycle.

Mahindra Mojo comes with new design and attractive graphics in its lineup. The motorcycle looks aggressive with twin rounded headlights. The muscular fuel tank of 21L fuel capacity and enough knee recess enhance the appearance of the motorcycle. The golden ribs below the fuel tank is the key attraction for the audience.

?Instrument Cluster

The TNT 25 houses a smartly designed semi digital instrument console. The console includes a center placed analogue tachometer and digital-speedometer, odometer, trip meter on the right side of the console. The gear indicator, low fuel indicator and turn indicators are also placed on the console for rider facility.

On the other tip, Mahindra Mojo 300’s instrument console is built on a totally new concept, its analog tachometer has a unique feature of rev follower light, it lightens up the reading crossed by the needle. Apart from this, odometer, speedometer, fuel indicator and trip meter along with the special feature of the top speed recorder and 0-100 KMPH timer is on the panel.

?Engine and Power

Benelli TNT 25 is powered by a 249cc four-stroke, liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine. The DOHC configuration helps in producing a peak power of 28.16 BHP at 9,800 RPM and vertex torque of 21.61 Nm at 8,000 RPM. The engine is coupled with a six-speed transmission to transmit the power to the rear wheel.

While Mahindra Mojo 300 is marginally less in power, but gains 9Nm of torque than Benelli TNT 25. Mojo 300’s heavier weight reduces the benefit of gaining torque. Basically, the tourer is equipped with the displacement engine of 294.72cc. The liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke and DOHC engine manages to produce power of 26.82 BHP at 8,000 RPM and torque of 30 Nm at 5,500 RPM. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission to transfer the power with camshaft to propel the motorcycle.

?Riding and Handling

Benelli TNT 25 with upright seating posture with flat handlebar, center placed foot pegs offers a comfortable ride with a slight sporty touch. The flat handlebar and inverted telescopic fork suspension offer excellent handling in the city traffic to the rider. On the other side, the Mahindra Mojo 300, a Tourer is made for comfortable riding as a manufacturer offers cushioned single seats for the rider and pillion comfort. The upright handles, rear placed foot pegs and enough knee recess enhance the riding experience. The kerb weight of 165kg manages to stick the Tourer to the road at high speed.

?Safety Features

Both the motorcycles are fully loaded with standard components for rider’s safety. The Benelli TNT is equipped with inverted telescopic forks at the front wheel and monoshock absorber at the rear wheel for suspension duties. While braking is propelled by petal disc brakes at both wheels. While Mahindra Mojo uses upside down forks suspension at front and gas charged mono-shock with floating piston at the rear wheel. The stopping responsibility is managed by disc brakes at both wheels. Anti-Lock Braking System is not available in both the motorcycles.

⛳️Price and Shades

Benelli TNT 25 is being offered only in two shades- Rosso (Red) and Bicano (White) by this Italian two wheeler marque. The standard version of TNT 25 with MRF tyres, is priced INR 1.68 lakh (Ex-showroom Pune) and INR 7,000 more have to pay (INR 1.75 lakh) for the premium model with Metzeler tyres.

Tnt 25 VS Mojo Price and Shades

Mahindra offers Mojo 300 in three shades- Charcoal Black, Glacier White and Volcano Red. The first two have golden ribs fitted under the fuel tank while Red one is equipped with Black ribs. The motorcycle is being sold at the price tag of INR 1.63 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
