Rashtreiya Janta Dal has announced the list of 23 candidates for the General Election 2014 on Thursday. The list is tabled in Patna, Bihar. RJD’s chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s eldest daughter Misa Bharti and his wife Rabri Devi is also catalogued in the candidate list of General election.

His daughter is contesting from Patliputra, Bihar and his wife will contest for parliament seat of Saran. Her daughter MMisa Bharati has got the first name Misa from Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA). MISA is the controversial act or law which gives the power to Indian law enforcement agencies of seize the property of an individual without cannot get the ticket for the Lok Sabha poll because of his Chara Ghotala, he is under detention.

Lalu said in a press conference, “I have dared to put my daughter from Patliputra seat, where I was defeated in last Lok Sabha polls (in 2009). It is simple… Misa Bharti is daughter as well as daughter-in-law of this constituency.”


Rabri had lost the Bihar Assembly polls from two constituencies Sonepur and Raghopur in 2010.  Troubles from RJD are not getting low. First party was held down, then Paswan left them. Coalition from congress was exerting at high. Now Rajya Sabha MP Ram Kripal Yadav revolted due to giving the ticket to Lalu’s daughter Misa Bharati from Pataliputra. There are prediction that he can move to BJP.

Raghavendra, Ghulam Gaus and Suresh Paswan are lifted the flag against the party.  Party of Lalu Prasad will contest on 27 seats, Congress has 12 and NCP will contest on 1 seat from Bihar.
