Haryana Police was established I the year 1966 after its division from state of Punjab. The rules and regulations were remaining same as that of Punjab police. The total number of employees during its formation was about 12,165. The state is divided into 4 police ranges and 3 commissionerates including Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ambala-Punchkula. The department is headed by Director General of Police and governed by Ministry of Home Affairs.

Haryana Police is recruiting candidates for the post of constable. There is a requirement of 298 male constables and 10 female constables. The pay scale for the same is Rs. 5200 – 20200/-. The qualification required for this job is intermediate from recognized board along with a secured position in national school games, national level tournaments organized by national federations.
