1. MAHINDRA XUV400

Mahindra is planning seven-seater model which will be based on Tivoli X100 platform which is also shared by XUV300. As per the rumors, the upcoming seven-seater cars will be named as XUV400. This upcoming SUV will sit 4 meters above in length and will compete with next-gen Hyundai Creta and others of same category. It will be powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel powertrain which will produce 121bhp of maximum power and 300 Nm of maximum torque. The petrol variant will get a 1.2-liter turbo powertrain which will churn out 135PS of power. Mahindra will offer both manual and automatic options.

2. NEXT-GEN HYUNDAI CRETA

Hyundai is working on the next-generation Creta SUV which is expected to be launched in the second half of 2020. The most interesting thing about the upcoming Creta car is that it will be available in both 5 and 7-seat layouts. The 7-seater model will be longer and will be powered by a newly developed 1.5-liter diesel powertrain which will churn out 115bhp of maximum power. Hyundai will offer both manual and automatic cars options. The company might also choose a more powerful 2.0-liter diesel powertrain which is currently present in Tucson.

3. JEEP 7-SEATER SUV

For the Indian market, Jeep is working on two new SUV’s- a sub-4 meter Ford EcoSport rival and a 7-seater D-segment SUV. On heavily localized platform of Jeep Compass, the 7-seater SUV will be based. In its category, it will compete with the rivals- Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Honda CR-V and other of same category. The Jeep 7-seater SUV will be powered by a 2.0-liter MultiJet II diesel powertrains which churn out 173 bhp of maximum power and 350 Nm of maximum torque.

4.NEW MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT

New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will be the next SUV which will be launched by Mitsubishi and will be updated version of Pajero Sport. The SUV will have the same ladder-frame chassis and the exterior will have some tweaks to give the SUV a different and sportier look. For styling and bulky look, Mitsubishi will have ‘Dynamic Shield’ grille in front, high-set bonnet, etc. the seven-seater will be spacious inside and will also have a large touchscreen along with other connectivity options. The new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will be powered by a 2.4-liter MIVEC, four-cylinder turbo-diesel powertrain which will produce 181bhp of maximum power and 430 Nm of maximum torque. The powertrain will be married to an eight-speed auto box and updated version of Super Select four-wheel drive system of Mitsubishi.

5. KIA CARNIVAL

Finally, Kia is going to enter India in 2019 by launching the new SUV car based SP concept. Alongside this SUV, the Korean automaker will also be entering into the MPV segment. Kia showcased the Grand Carnival MPV at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo which is going on sale in foreign markets. The Grand Carnival will be the premium MPV of Kia. It is bigger in size than Toyota Innova Crysta which is best selling MPV Cars of India. Carnival is around 380mm longer and has 310mm longer wheelbase as compared to the Innova by which we can say the cabin will be more spacious. It will be powered by a 2.2-liter diesel powertrain which will churn out 200bhp of maximum power and 441 Nm of maximum torque.

6. Tata H7X

During the disclose of Tata H5X concept at the 2018 Auto Expo, Tata Motors announced that they will also introduce a seven-seater model which will be based on H5X with its codename H7X. the production variant of H5X is named as Harrier and will be launched in 2019. The platform of the Tata H7X will be same as of Harrier which is OMEGA platform. The OMEGA platform comes from the Land Rover Discovery Sports D8 platform and to keep the cost down, the company has replaced the aluminum parts with steel. The size of the H7X is same as of the Discovery Sport and the last row i.e. third row is also spacious. The design of the external will be based on impact design philosophy.

The front will be same as of the Harrier which will continue the dual headlamp setup, LED tail lamps are at the top position and projector headlamps which are set below it along with fog lamps. The H7X will most probably come with 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels and the back gets LED tail lamps and also a new bumper along with reflectors into it. The features of the H7X is touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sunroof, climate control, 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, automatic tailgate and more. The powertrain will be same as of the Harrier i.e. 2.0-litre diesel powertrain which produces 170hp of maximum power and 350 nm of maximum torque. Both the manual and auto gearbox will be offered by the company.

7. Renault RBC

At present, Renault is working on a new MPV with the codename- RBC. The Renault RBC will be based on the latest CMF-A+ platform. The French carmaker chose this platform because in India, it is highly localized due to which company can price the RBC aggressively. The design of Renault RBC will be same as of Kwid hatchback. We know that Datsun Go and Go+ models shared its component with Kwid and now even RBC is going to get the same components as of Kwid. same like Kwid, the front will get the same grille with big headlamps with projectors and a new bumper along with fog lamps. To give a rough look to the MPV, the company gave it black plastic cladding across the body.

With a new bumper, the rear of MPV gets a wraparound tail lamp. For lower-spec, the company gave smaller 13-inch wheels and top variants get 14-inch alloy wheels and to improve the stability, the wheels come with slightly wider tyres. The cabin will be same as of Renault Kwid but with better quality. The RBC will come with the touchscreen infotainment system, power windows, steering mounted controls, rearview camera with parking sensors and many more. It will get the same engine as of Kwid i.e. it will be powered by 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol powertrain with optional manual and AMT gearbox.

8. Datsun Go-Cross

The Go-Cross Concept was disclosed by Datsun at the 2016 Auto Expo and the production model was released in earlier 2018 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Go-Cross will mostly be introduced in early 2019 and will compete for the rival Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza- the best selling model in its segment. The facelift model of Go+ MPV was launched in November 2018 on which the Go-Cross is based upon. The front has clean back headlamps along with fog lamps sits just below it. The new design theme is also given to the bumper. The company gave the Go-Cross black plastic cladding which is across the body.

At the back, it gets new tail lamps with a united spoiler and faux skid plates. The internal design of Cross model is same as of Go+ and has a touchscreen infotainment system in the center with rectangular AC vents. Few features are- rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps. The Go-Cross has the same powertrain as of Datsun Go+ MPV i.e. it is powered with a 1.2-liter petrol powertrain which churns out 69 PS of maximum power at 5,000 rpm and 104 Nm of maximum torque at 4,000 rpm and is married to a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox. The company has not yet announced about the diesel powertrain.

9. Toyota Alphard MPV

The Toyota Alphard was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 in February which hits its launch. In foreign markets, the MPV is powered with 3.5-liter V6 petrol powertrain which churns out 297bhp of maximum power and 361Nm of maximum torque and is married to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives 2WD or 4WD in some trims. The middle-row of Toyota Alphard shows its desirability as it has ambient illumination, triple-zone climate control, power-sliding doors and 10-inch Blu-Ray which is mounted on the roof. The MPV might come in few variants only and will be one of the best choices in its segment.

10. 2019 Mahindra TUV300

The largest SUV manufacturer going to bring an updated Mahindra TUV 300 2019 and it has been spotted testing and gives some of the glimpses of it. It will be upgraded so that it can meet the new safety norms which will come into effect from October 2019. It will get newly designed alloy wheels, tail lamps with LED graphics, restyled headlamps, spare wheel cover and upgraded bumper up front and rear. The cabin has also been revised including new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, upgrades to seat upholstery and dash, etc.

The current compact SUV has 1.5-liter three-cylinder mHawk 100 diesel powertrain which churns out 100 PS of maximum power and 240 Nm of maximum torque and is married to either a five-speed manual or an AMT. The 2019 Mahindra TUV300 might come with D15 diesel powertrain churning out 123 PS maximum power and 300 Nm of maximum torque which is same as of XUV300. It will be coupled with a six-speed manual transmission as standard.
