Step by Step Method to prepare Gond ke Ladoos in this winter:

  • 3 cups of Wheat Flour
  • ¾ cup of edible Gum (Gond)
  • 2 cup of Ghee
  • 1-1/2 cups of Almond (Badam)
  • 1 cup of Cashew Nuts (Kaju)
  • 1 cup of chopped Dry Figs (Anjeer)
  • 200 gm of Dry Dates (Khajur)
  • 1 tbsp of Poppy Seeds (Khus-khus)
  • ¼ cup of unsalted Green Pistachios (Pista)
  • 1 cup of Raisins (Kishmish)
  • 1-1/2 cups of dry Coconut (grated)
  • 2 cups of Jaggery (grated)
  • 1 tsp of Nutmeg Powder (Jai phal)
  • 1 tsp of Cardamom Powder (Elaichi)

How to prepare Gond ke Laddu

  • Take out the seeds from dry dates and roast them on low flames. Let them cool down.
  • Grind the roasted dry dates in the mixer.
  • Now, roast the Khus-khus and prepare coarse powder of it in a mortar and pestle.
  • Put almonds, cashew nuts and pistachios in the mixer jar and grind it into a fine powder.
  • After that, heat 2 tbsp ghee in a wok (kadhai) and add Gond to it. Fry it, till it becomes crispy and when you break it should not be sticky from inside.
  • Roast dry coconut in the same wok (kadhai), till it becomes light brown.
  • Now, grind Gond and coconut into powder.
  • Make small pieces of anjeer and keep it aside.
  • After doing all these, roast wheat flour on medium to low flame, until it becomes very light and its color changes.
  • Add 2 cups of ghee in roasted wheat flour and stir it for another 4-5 minutes on medium to low flames.
  • Add roasted coconut and Gond powder to it and stir it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add dry figs pieces and raisins in it and mix it nicely.
  • After that, put dry fruits, khus-khus, and dry dates powder to it and mix well.
  • Add grated jaggery, cardamom powder, and nutmeg powder and switch off the flame.
  • Mix it properly, till the jaggery is mixed completely in Ladoo mixture.
  • Prepare ladoos from the mixture, when it’s hot.
  • Gond ke Ladoos are ready to serve.
