One of the country’s oldest breakfast cereal makers, Bagrrys India Ltd. is planning to offer healthier snack items in the fast-food segment, which is led by McDonald’s, KFC and others. The outlets named as, “Baggry’s On the GO” will serve food and drinks like burgers?and bagels, oats-based sandwiches?, muesli, wheat bran-based desserts and multigrain meals for lunch and dinner.

Baggry’s worth INR 77 crore is one of the biggest suppliers of wheat for Nestle India’s Maggi noodles and now aiming to tie-up with the third-party kitchens for ready-made food items with its own ingredients. The delicacies that will offer by the stores, such as pasta, sandwiches, bagels and wraps will be prepared with multigrain options along with wheat and also add bran or oats to enhance fiber and nutritional value.

New Delhi-based company, Baggrys India Ltd. Has made impressive position in the market as it has been ruling for over two decades in this cereal business. According to the report by the researcher, it is predicted that the country’s quick service or fast food industry will grow to $4.6 Billion by 2020.

As of now, the branches of the Baggry’s On the Go will be restricted to the northern region of India and the first store is scheduled to be opened early next month in the capital. The segment is leading by multinational Kellogg, which is the world’s largest cereal maker along with the entry of brands such as MTR and Marico’s Saffola.
