Infosys informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that its quarterly earnings rose 25 percent to Rs.13 026 crore . According to results released by the company on January 10 , 2875 crore in Infosys in 3 months added to his locker . However, from October to December 2012 the expected numbers are around 2369crore .

Today Mr.Murthy has created country’s second largest software company. Infosys was co-founded in 1981 by N. R. Narayana Murthy, Nandan Nilekani, N. S. Raghavan, S. Gopalakrishnan, S. D. Shibulal, K. Dinesh and Ashok Arora after they resigned from Patni Computer Systems. The company was incorporated as “Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd.” with a capital of Rs 10000 (roughly $250) in Model Colony, Pune as the registered office and signed its first client, Data Basics Corporation, in New York. In 1983, the company’s corporate headquarters was relocated to Bangalore.

Change in name: It changed its name to “Infosys Technologies Private Limited” in April 1992 and to “Infosys Technologies Limited” when it became a public limited company in June 1992. It was later renamed to “Infosys Limited” in June 2011.
On 1 June 2013, Mr. Narayana Murthy, one of the founding members of Infosys and its long time CEO, returned from his retirement to assume office in Infosys as its Executive Chairman. Today Mr.Murthy has created country’s second largest software company.

2. TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES – TCS: Global ranking: 16, Revenue: 48 426 crore

Tata Consultancy Services was established in 1968. According to Global ranking 2012 it was ranked 16th. The company’s revenue in 2012 was Rs 48426 crore. The company’s headquarters is located in Mumbai. Is a subsidiary company of the Tata Group. TCS recorded a 15.2 per cent growth in a year.

3. COGNIZANT – Cognizant: Global ranking: 23, Revenue: 39 480 crore

And its headquarter is at Teaneck, New Jersey in the U.S. cognizant is listed on the NASDAQ. Cognizant 20.1 per cent growth recorded within a year. Market share is 0.8, while in 2011 it was 0.7 percent.

4. WIPRO – Wipro : Global ranking : 31, Revenue : Rs 31682 crore
