Mr. Etienne Benet, the Managing Director of Nestle India will be leaving the company on 25th July 2015. And, instead of him, the company has appointed new MD, Mr. Suresh Naryanan. He will be the first Indian, who get this position after a gap of 16 years and take a charge from the August 1st 2015.

The Nestle India said in the statement,

“Nomination has been received from Nestle SA for the appointment of Suresh Narayanan as the MD of Nestle India with effect from August 1, 2015. Mr. Benet, who has been in his current position since October 1, 2013, will be leaving Nestle India on July 25 and relocating to nestle Group Head Office in Switzerland”.

In 1999, Mr. Narayanan had joined the Nestle Group and at present, he is the Chairman and CEO of Nestle Philippines. He was the head of sale in the Nestle South Asia region, where he brought major structural and strategic changes in sales and customer management.

After banning by the safety regulator FSSAI, the company has destroyed Maggie packets in the large amount. Maggi had banned in the country due to the presence of lead and MSG beyond its permissible limit and still, the company is struggling with the Maggi controversy.
