The next aim of the Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. (parent company of Dunkin Donuts and Baskin-Robbins) is to reduce the amount of sugar, salt and calories from the food items in the next couple of years. Published “Broadening Our Horizons”- the company’s third Corporate Social Responsibility report on 7th May, 2015, which represents the details on many progress in 2012 and also upcoming plans for more sustainable ingredients, energy-efficient buildings, and recyclable packaging.

As we all know Dunkin Donuts is one of the well-known American restaurant chains, which is famous for its coffee and baked items, whereas Baskin-Robbins is a prominent ice cream parlour chain, which is the world’s famous, offering delicious shakes, cones, pies, treats, cakes and more!

Mr. Karen Raskopf, Dunkin’ Brands Chief Communications Officer and Co-Chair of The Dunkin Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation, stated that,

Broadening Our Horizons represents our progress in sustainability efforts over the past two years, as well as our commitment to out stakeholders to continue to do more in the future”.


By the end of this year, the new plan of the Dunkin Donuts related to nutrition, its DDSMART menu, includes an Egg White Veggie Multigrain Flatbread sandwich and a Whole Wheat Bagel for their customers. And, it will be started across only its U.S.A restaurants and soon it might be commenced in other countries also.

Baskin-Robbins will also be introducing new smoothies that are lower in sugar and calories this year.
